We are passionate about collaborating with good people to provide solutions that not only look good but are functional and data-driven. We’re all teachers and learners, excited to understand your business and share our skills every step of the way. When we’re not hard at work, we have beer tastings, wait in line to check out the newest Detroit restaurant, enjoy silent discos, and learn to make pottery (that happened once).
We love Detroit, Thai food, and office dance parties.

How It All Started
AMBR Detroit was formed in 2012, when former co-workers Anthony Montalbano & Brian Ritter joined forces to start building custom software. They initially used their expertise to consult with startups in the Bizdom program, and eventually transitioned into helping clients create digital experiences and leverage new technology. Fun Fact: The name AMBR comes from the initials of the founders.
The first official office was at a co-working space at Grand Circus Detroit. In 2015, the team moved to the current space at the corner of Shelby St. and Congress, in downtown Detroit.
